Facebook for the Realms

Or, how i learned to stop caring and join the Dungeons & Dragons Community website.

Wizards officially relaunched what used to be the forums to a new community site that reminds me a lot of a mash up between face book and my space. At this point in the game i just gave in and signed up. I'm sure there are 100 posts out there today about the community already so i will cover some features.

Have not read the sign up rules, must double check
  • you get a url attached to your username ie http://community.wizards.com/mleger
  • Upload pictures
  • No actual forums anymore, things are all group based. join a group if you want to participate
  • send messages
  • add friends
  • update status with a mood (not sure why)
  • have your own blog (I'm just linking it back to mine)
  • Calendar (organize your own games)
  • Photos

And all the basics with what appears to be none of the 3rd party junk. Which is good because I'm not a fan of 'sleeping with one leg out of the covers' and I'm tired of face book asking me if i am.

I was planing on doing another digital DM article for today, (and i still may) but my topic keeps changing. First it was going to be http://www.yeoldemapmaker.com/ a sweet flash based website for making & printing maps to paper, but newbieDM wrote a good article which was pimped by geekdad. I'll give the program a breather for a while.

Well hopefully i will get another post in today (like prince Adam turning into He-man twice in one episode), otherwise be sure your ready for tomorrows nights challenge.

Until next time keep your dice on the table.
