Owner tells the party that no one has ever come back from the room, ever. Owner says no one goes up there anymore because they are afraid of the sounds and believe the room to be haunted.
If the players go in the room, nothing seems to happen at first, not until the door is closed and some time has passed (about an hour). Then those inside the room disapear.
The room is a weak link between the real world and the shadowfell, those who stay in the room for any length of time find themselves in an identical looking room in the shadowfell with no way back. The veil is so thin that those screaming in this room can be heard in the real world adding to the mystery of the room and belief that its haunted.
In the shadowfell this in resides in a empty town no longer occupied.
This little location can spawn rumors in your local city, and evenbe used to get the party to the shadowfell, you can even turn it into an adventure where this was the only room left and now the players have to find a way back to the real world.
Idea for low end heroic, before they have a chance to get a ritual to teleport back
