I thought of this ritual from the classic native north American spirit guide or animal guide that follows us on our journey. Ive experienced a few things in my life to accept such this as possible.
The following ritual is similar to speak with nature but has the added benefit of leaving you with a bonus until you rest. Because the ritual commonly performed at night, the DM can allow that the rest that happens shortly after does not count as the first extended rest.
The animals were mostly based off of the wizard familiar.
Spirit Animal
You perform a ritual to find and seek advice from your spirit guide.

Time; 10 miutes

Duration: special
You see images you wish to see related to some questions you hold at the completion of the ritual. Your Nature check result determines the number of questions you can ask. The questions can be about your past, your future or something that is related to you.
The questions are answered by your spirit guide, those who participate in the ritual can discover their spirit guide and gain benefits as listed until the next extended rest. Once you have a spirit guide only that animal will appear to you any time you participate in this ritual

3 Dragon When you spend a healing surge, regain 2 additional hit points per tier

6 Cat +2 acrobatics, considered trained in acrobatics

8 Spider +2 climb, +1 saves vs poisons
9 Badger +2 intimidate, +1 per tier to damage rolls while bloodied
